My last week in New York definitely involved A LOT of food- mainly sweets. I made sure I went to Serendipity before I left, and I was smart enough to make reservations so I didn't have to wait for over an hour. The frozen hot chocolate just wasn't enough for me and my friends- were fatties; we added the forbidden chocolate sundae. Lets just say my stomach was swimming in chocolate barely half way through. Other sweet locations I headed to were Magnolia Bakery, Levain Bakery, and Crumbs. All of these were walking distance from the place- horrible horrible horrible- I was staying in the Upper West. I didn't take a picture of it but Pinkberry and 16 Candles (frozen yogurt) along with Donut Plant were also on the list of sweet places I went to my last week- yes, I am a fatty. I definitely choose Crumbs over Magnolia, but Magnolia had a cuter bakery setting. Levain Bakery has the HUGGEST cookies that are soft and delicious in the middle. I wish I had gotten more of the cookies because it's the only thing I've been thinking about since I've been home. Don't judge me but I totally stuffed a Crumbs cupcake in my checked in luggage... ok, you can judge me because I would. 

Being the weeping willow that I am, I cried saying all the goodbyes on my last day at work. This summer I had one of the greatest adventures I could ever ask for, and I met some amazing people along the way. It will be different not seeing the same people I spent the last 3 months with, everyday basically 10 hours each day. But I come home with new friendships and perfect memories. This summer will definitely be in the books, but New York hasn't gotten rid of me yet... I am already planning my flight back!

I've been a little under the blue lately. I keep telling myself to post on the blog, but the moment I lay my head down I immediately pass out- i'm beginning to feel like my mother. I only have 3 weeks left in New York, which is bittersweet. I still have a few items on my NYC bucket list I want to accomplish before leaving- like walking in between subway carts while it's moving (jk). There are times I get homesick. I do miss the occasional sit down dinners with my family, centralized air condition in the house, THE BEACH & BEING TAN, and my friends. I'm a little scared to get back to driving, after 3 months of literally not driving plus my horrible driving skills (i'm asian and a women-duh!), I might have to practice a tad bit when I get back.

The first photo shoot I worked on for my internship at STYLECASTER involved Sky Ferreira. It was definitely interesting to see what goes on behind-the-scenes at a photo shoot- especially when you see the finished work after editing. While I didn't work on these photo shoots, I did have to do a little work getting clothing information on them. And they are still some of my favorites. life as i know it

These past few days have been hectic. I've learned more in the past two weeks about fashion than I would have imaged. While I work almost 9-12 hours a day, I enjoy it since I am doing what I want to do. The best part about this all.... living in one of the best cities in the world. Each morning before work I encounter at least 6 different ethnicities, which is something I rarely get in Florida. As the weather starts to warm up, it begins to feel more like home. 

My mornings before I work, I typical get a cup of coffee at the local coffee shop down the road while reading the pop culture newspaper. While my lunch time ranges, I usually head to the closet cafe to grab a delicious salad or sandwich. By the end of the day, I am so beat that I usually head home for some relaxation. Some days, I head somewhere for dinner or drinks. During work, I am either in the closet or out roaming the cities for the deliveries. The best part about doing a delivery is seeing various parts of the city that I doubt I'd explore if I was just a tourist. The city is always bustling with cars and people, but there are some spots that have that suburban feel to it. 

This past Wednesday, me and the other interns were able to attend our first company event. While we had to work part of the time, the rest of the time we got to mingle around and meet different people. On Friday, I was able to help with my first photo shoot. I often had run from Brooklyn, where the photo shoot was at, to Manhattan to pick up items from Showrooms. It was intense, but well worth it when I got to see the photo shoot in action. 

I still have 10 more weeks here, so I plan to add some sightseeing in there on the weekends. I don't know where to start and what to begin seeing. There is so much I plan on doing!
