internship + editorial

I've been a little under the blue lately. I keep telling myself to post on the blog, but the moment I lay my head down I immediately pass out- i'm beginning to feel like my mother. I only have 3 weeks left in New York, which is bittersweet. I still have a few items on my NYC bucket list I want to accomplish before leaving- like walking in between subway carts while it's moving (jk). There are times I get homesick. I do miss the occasional sit down dinners with my family, centralized air condition in the house, THE BEACH & BEING TAN, and my friends. I'm a little scared to get back to driving, after 3 months of literally not driving plus my horrible driving skills (i'm asian and a women-duh!), I might have to practice a tad bit when I get back.

The first photo shoot I worked on for my internship at STYLECASTER involved Sky Ferreira. It was definitely interesting to see what goes on behind-the-scenes at a photo shoot- especially when you see the finished work after editing. Here are a few of my favorite shots from the photo shoot, taken from the SC Website.

While I didn't work on these photo shoots, I did have to do a little work getting clothing information on them. And they are still some of my favorites. You can find these at STYLECASTER under the fashion section. Make sure your tweet, love, and fb like! And if you haven't made an account, you should probably jump on that- or we can't be friends.

EDITORIAL SATURDAY: COLOR AND STRIPES

THE ART OF PROCRASTINATION

Ok, I am a horrible all-night studier. I decided to take a break from studying for my 2 final exams tomorrow to do a little web browsing. It turned into a 2 hour study break. My first exam is at 7:30am. Whoever decided it was ok to put a 7:30am final was seriously on crack! It might seem like I am having an obsession with sunglass since my last post was also about sunglasses. But Burberry ads are one of my favorites. The pop of color in these ads really draw the viewer. I need a pair of purple sunglasses.

I've officially started sewing today, only to distract me from studying and making dumb study guides. I'm in for another long week ahead of me.

I haven't stop buying new jeans these past few weeks. I have never been the "favorite type of jeans" girl, I would rather wear skirts, shorts, and dresses and only jeans in the winter. I only had two jeans I would constantly wear, unfortunately. When it started getting cold in December, I decided I needed more than the two jeans I would wear all the time. Now I added four new pairs of jeans into the collection (total six), and I can't get enough and want more. I think I am turning into that "favorite type of jeans" girl, and I blame it on the fact that I've become more comfortable in my skin.

he ate my heart

A few days ago I got news that I'll (and a group of my girlfriends) will be attending/working Miami International Fashion Week this coming march. It couldn't be better timing because it's the week of my spring break, yaah! Looking at this editorial post makes me miss the sunshine even more, and waiting for the days I'll be in south beach!

some kind of wonderful

It has been awhile since I've looked at a recent magazine or browsed online at editorials. Editorials are one source of inspiration for me. It is interesting to see someone's' point of view about a certain trend and even a time era. As browsing, I found this one intriguing editorial. With all the cold weather, this made me wish for a spring breeze and bright colors. My puppy seemed to agree also since she when she saw the pictures on my computer screen, she started barking furiously.
