My rings are placed on small plates. I meant to by a ring hand holder, however, this was my attempt to get creative. Only because I couldn't find a ring hand holder. 

Over the summer my sister and my mom made homemade jelly. They had a few extra mason jars, so I took a few. Nice little place to hold all my makeup. 

Yes, own 'The O.C.' DVDs. Make fun of me. I'm proud of it. When my cable & internet was out, this is what I watch. My desk isn't large, but it holds all my paper work and books neatly. 

My window brings a massive amount of light through it. In the morning, it is a pain. Talk about the best alarm clock. Do you want to know how I put my curtains up? A pair of one of my high heels. It really does come in handy when you have no hammer. Luckily it's still hanging up. 

My sister refurbished my grandparent's dresser this summer. It went from 'vintage' brown to 'modern' white. However, there are a few splotches of paint on the mirror. I decided to cover it up with photos of all my friends, and memories of this summer in NYC. 

This is the view from my window when I sit on my bed. The good thing about it being so big is that I never have to use a light during the day. You can't see it in here, but I get the good view on the pool, sand volleyball court, and clubhouse... not a bunch of trees like my roommates.

home decor + inspiration

It's Monday afternoon and I have spent about half my day looking through interior design blogs to find inspiration for my new apartment. I can officially start moving in tomorrow, but tomorrow is my grandparent's anniversary so I am holding off until Wednesday. There is one room that I found on CAITLIN WILSON DESIGN that pretty much sums up how I want part of my room to look like... minus the pink. I don't do pink. The only time I've ever done pink was in junior high... and seriously regret that decision. The concept of a chalk board painted section and book shelves filled with organized binders makes me happy. I've been practicing over the years to get more organized. After living in a dreadful apartment (that provided UGLY furniture more me) for two years, I am beyond excited to bring up my white furniture and start decorating. However, I hate packing boxes and trying to figure out what I need and don't need.

 Love the decorative pillows added to the bed.

 Not digging the rug on the floor but everything else I like.

 The huge mirror would make my room look bigger & a perfect place to put photos.

Again, obsessed with the organization of the white shelves & the elephant stool. 

 I possibly, along with my roommate, will opt out of the white carpet and coach... not good when someone spills beer on it. 

 My favorite part is the chalk board section of the wall.

I am really excited to decorate a new room for the fall. This time the furniture isn't provided, so I can bring my pretty, white furniture from back home. I love this room idea, maybe I can do something similar for when I move into my new apartment and room.

It around nine am eastern time and I've been sitting at my computer for over the past hour trying to drop/add classes. Since FSU had the bright idea to not let anyone do drop and add till 8am this morning, just image about 30,000 students trying to change their schedule. One of those people is me! While I wait for the "Under heavy load, expect delays" to go away so I can finally change some of my classes, I've been dreaming of my future apartment. In about a four month I can move out of my apartment with its ugly, forbidden furniture and more somewhere somewhat better and where I can choose my own furniture.

ps. I don't expect my next apartment to look like this, maybe in 10 years but not while I am in college hehe
