ashley olsen + backpack

Ashley & Mary Kate Olsen have grown an empire since their days on Full House. They have THE ROW and OLSENBOYE (line for JCPenny), and their contemporary line  ELIZABETH AND JAMES. I'm obsessed with The Row, and recently gained my obsession for Elizabeth & James this past summer. During the time I was in New York, MKA introduced their handbag line, for The Row, at Barneys New York. While I wasn't able to attend the event, I've been lusting over each of the bags since then. Ashley Olsen was seen carrying The Row back pack that is worth $35,000. I don't think I could spend $35,000 dollars on a back pack, but I am so obsessed with getting a equally cool bag for the fall. I found 6 lust worthy backpacks that I might just lay my hands on.

1. Alexander Wang Martin Convertible Backpack $850
2. Alphine Maggie Backpack $258
3. Fossil handbag, Vintage Reissue Backpack $218
4. Marc by Marc Jacobs Classic Backpack $460
5. 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Mile Backpack $1,100
6. Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Totally Turnlock' Backpack $428

custom made jeans + no really

It's a raining Monday here in New York, and when it's gloomy outside- it's gloomy in the office. It makes me want to go home and cuddle up to Netflix with a some carrots and hummus- I know random.  Saying it's a slow day would be an understatement. But i've spent my time browsing fashion and beauty blogs, and some of my favorite fashion go-to sites. Sometimes there are perks to my internship and something...  it can be a debby downer. But when you work 5 days a week, it's not always going to be bright rays on sunshine smiling at you. I came across this article on REFINERY29 about a unique store in Soho called 3x1. This store is the true definition of a custom made jean. I added this to my list of places to stop by while I am here in New York. No matter how many times I go to Soho, I always find something new. Let's hope the sales person doesn't convince me to get a pair or 2 or my mother wouldn't be the happiest camper when she gets that bill, but I could always use the excuse of 'I needed these, no one else has them' because technically no one does. One of the coolest thing about the store is the workshop is inside of it. So you can relax in the air condition store or keep on browsing different stores in SoHo- because you have to buy tops to go with the jeans- while they make your pants.

shopping + maxi skirt

SINCE COMING TO NEW YORK I MADE A 'YOU NEED TO BUY THIS SHIT' LIST. ONE OF THE ITEMS ON THE LIST IS A MAXI SKIRT PREFERABLY ONE THAT ISN'T BLACK. I JUMPED ON THE 'OH EM GEE H&M HAS A REALLY GOOD MAXI SKIRT'. WHEN I FINALLY INVESTED TIME TO CHECK IT OUT THEY ONLY HAD SMALLS. I AM IN NO WAY FITTING INTO A SMALL, BUT I STILL TRIED IT ON. IT LOOKED LOVELY ON ME, EXCEPT I COULDN'T ZIP IT UP ALL THE WAY... DEPRESSING. SO I AM STILL ON A HUNT FOR A GOOD MAXI SKIRT. IF ALL ELSE FAILS, I'LL JUST BUY THE ONE AT AMERICAN APPAREL.  I WANT A MAXI SKIRT JUST LIKE ANNALYNNE MCCORD!

WINDOW SHOPPING PROBLEMS

Since I've been holding back (a lot) on my shopping habits lately, I've been doing too much online and window shopping. This weekend I am hoping to stop this horrible influenza of no shopping with a much needed shopping splurge excursion with my mommy. However, I am not going to be shopping for bathing suits and cover ups like most of my friends, instead I need to stock up on my business wear. I am not sure what to expect to wear when I walk into my internship, but to be safe I should dress business casual oriented. So this shopping trip I will be buying some dress pants, pencil skirts, nice tops, and low heels. But I can't help but add some items I've been dying to have lately.

THE ART OF PROCRASTINATION

Ok, I am a horrible all-night studier. I decided to take a break from studying for my 2 final exams tomorrow to do a little web browsing. It turned into a 2 hour study break. My first exam is at 7:30am. Whoever decided it was ok to put a 7:30am final was seriously on crack! It might seem like I am having an obsession with sunglass since my last post was also about sunglasses. But Burberry ads are one of my favorites. The pop of color in these ads really draw the viewer. I need a pair of purple sunglasses.

round sunglasses

In the front compartment of my car I have about every type of sunglass. Before, I had this terrible habit of breaking my sunglasses, which meant I would always have to buy new pairs. Since I have a horrible shopaholic condition, I, one day, decided to buy about 7 pairs of sunglasses. Why? Because that way when I broke a pair, I had a spare ready for me. Well... since doing this I haven't broken one pair (knock on wood). The one pair of sunglasses that I am kinda looking at adding to my collection are a pair of round ones. Not sure how they will look considering I can't find a single pair in stores. Maybe I will get lucky when I go to New York.

RUMOR HAS IT

Since I am trying to save my money for New York,  I have cut back on my shopping habits. But I am constantly online browsing adding item after item on my wish list. Hopefully, I can last a few more weeks so I can do some real shopping in New York. The only shopping I should be doing is for groceries, and for business wear clothing. Other than that, I am staying far away from my favorite stores. With gas prices rising, I doubt I could afford anymore clothing. Thankfully I will be in new york this summer and won't have to worry about driving or gas prices for 3 months. Bad part? I am going to pass out when I return home and gas is more than 4 bucks.

this should be in my closet

It's been over a week since spring break and well... I am still in spring break mode. Spring break is like a teaser for summer vacation, just like Thanksgiving break is a teaser for Christmas break. The weather keeps getting warmer and warmer, and it gives me more incentive to want to skip my afternoon class. But it is more like spending afternoon in the library.
When I went to New York, I finally went to Free People. For years I have starred at all the clothes on the website. The only place to buy it here, is certain boutiques or the Urban Thread. So when I went to SoHo to do a little browsing and shopping, I just had to walk into Free People. Everything was so beautiful, I wanted to buy it all.

red coats

While most of the east coast is battling a blizzard, weather in Florida seems to be warming up. Hopefully we have at least one (maybe two) low temperatures before spring time weather rolls around so I can finally wear my new red pea coat. I ordered this over Christmas vacation, but I ordered a size too big, so I had to return it and finally got the replacement now.

because im asian wants...

I've been eyeing this Yves Saint Laurent ring for too long to count! This is one item I am ready to splurge on and probably won't feel guilty after I do. I can't decide between Arty Enamel or glass ring.

waiting patiently

I am not the hugest fan of online shopping, but Tallahassee doesn't have the best shopping so I have to do what I have to do. I bought this item this past weekend and dying to have it now! I am waiting patiently...
